UKCIP's Local Climate Impact's Profiles
Tool/ResourceDate added: 08/03/2017
LCLIP is a simple tool designed to help organisations to assess their current exposure to the weather.
The Local Climate Impacts Profile process shows how prepared an organisation is to deal with severe weather events by looking at recent past disruptions. Over 100 local authorities across the UK have now completed LCLIPs. One organisation uncovered £16.4 million of unplanned costs over a decade due to emergency provisions, insurance claims and road repairs after weather events. Understanding these current vulnerabilities to the weather can be a powerful catalyst for further action on preparing for the future climate.
Find out how to carry out your own LCLIP on the UKCIP website.
