Date added: 23/03/2017

This report provides a synthesis of the UK CCRA 2017 Evidence Report’s findings and sets out the priorities for the next five years.

The UK Government is required under the 2008 Climate Change Act to publish a UK-wide Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) every five years. The Act stipulates that the Government must assess ‘the risks for the United Kingdom from the current and predicted impacts of climate change’.

Compiled by the Committee on Climate Change, the independent advisory body charged with reviewing and assessing the UK's progress in tackling climate change, this synthesis report brings together the results of the most detailed climate risk assessment ever undertaken in the UK. A National Summary report for Scotland is also available.
